Acadiana Mazda is Now Hiring: Automotive Sales Representatives

Responsibilities

The sales representative must be able to do the following on a day-to-day basis:

  • Generate business through daily business traffic and outside sources.
  • Assists guests as they enter the dealership showroom or sales lot.
  • Assists guests in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Explain product performance, application, benefits, and offer test drives to all prospects.
  • Introduces guests to dealership operations, including the service and parts departments, emphasize to guests the quality and efficiency of the dealership's service operations.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a prospect development system.
  • Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to guests.
  • Write complete sales orders, process paperwork, explain warranties, provisions and financing in accordance with established dealership policies.
  • Follow-up with Finance Manager to make sure all stipulations for finalizing the paperwork is completed.
  • Maintain and achieve the sales and guest satisfaction objectives set by management.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintain high ethical standards in all actions.
  • Maintain professional appearance at all times.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • A minimum of one (1) year automotive sales experience preferred but not necessary;
  • Ability to coordinate activities with other employees; learn and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales; use good judgment in challenging situations; pay attention to detail; follow-up with guests and employees; work well with the public; communicate in a professional manner on the phone, internet and in person; use standard office equipment;
  • Must have a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable and safe driving record.
  • Have a desire to be successful and develop professionally
