Why do You Need to Rotate Your Tires?

What is a tire rotation? Well think of musical chairs that takes years to complete a full turn. When you bring your vehicle in for a tire rotation the mechanic takes your tires off of your vehicle and move them to the next seat. By the end of it every tire is in a new spot. They do this so that the tires wear evenly and it is a perfect opportunity to check the tires for damage.

Rotating your tires regularly is important for the maintenance of your vehicle. Your tires should be rotated between every 3,000 to 7,000 miles. Keeping up with this simple maintenance task will make your tires last longer, give you better gas mileage, and make your vehicle behave in a predictable manner.

If you do not rotate your tires there can be damage to your vehicle. It can wear out suspension components and mess with weight distribution, making it difficult to drive in a safe manner.
